Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls are a much more powerful tool for sound therapy than the Classic Frosted Singing Bowls. Selecting an alchemy crystal singing bowl can be a little overwhelming if you are not clear as to what you want. You have 3 decisions to make:

1. Size
2. Bowl Quality (Rose Quartz, Moldavite etc.)
3. Note / Chakra

Size

I mention size first because size determines what the bowl will sound like.

• The 5″ and 6″ bowls are a high octave bowl meaning that it will have a very high pitch, like an opera singing trying to shatter a glass (only not as annoying). This is probably not a good option for your first bowl unless you get a larger bowl for balance. Listening to high pitch tones for too long can be un-grounding so unless you have a larger bowl (i.e. lower octave) for balance, get either a 7″ or 8″ as your first bowl.
• The 7″ and 8″ bowls are middle octave and a great place to start, it is a range we are accustomed to for longer periods. This is the size you should get to balance the smaller and larger bowls.
• The 9″ to 12″ bowls will have a lower octave and can sound much like a church bell. This is also a good place to start but again, I would recommend that you get a 7″ or 8″ bowl for balance.

Bowl Qualities

The quality of the bowl whether it be smokey quartz, rhodochrosite, ruby or any of the other 40+ options is important for your intentions. Two 8″ bowls exactly tuned to the heart chakra will sound the same. So if you have an 8″ smokey quartz and an 8″ rose quartz tuned exactly the same, you will not be able to hear a difference. You will however feel the difference so your intentions will determine the type of bowl you should get.

Note / Chakra

The note or chakra will determine where the focus of the bowl will be placed but this is less important than the size because any crystal singing bowl will clear all the chakras, not just the chakra the bowl is tuned to. When selecting a bowl, definitely consider what the focus of the bowl should be but know that any singing bowl will clear all the chakras. Try not to be attached to any one chakra.

What if my bowl is not available?

It is not possible to keep every bowl combination in inventory so there is a chance that what you are looking for will not be available. Special ordering could take 6 to 18 months.

If the exact bowl you are looking for is not available, be flexible on the note/chakra first. Then be flexible on the bowl quality. Don’t be as flexible on the size.
