The Awakening Bell

The Awakening Bell is a new musical instrument perfectly suited for sound therapyAwakening Bell. Its bell like quality can place it in the gong and crystal singing bowl category. The Awakening Bells long lasting pure tone sounds very much like a tuning fork. When you tap the Awakening Bell, a crisp and clear long playing tone is created. You’ll instantly hear and feel the deep calming affect of the Awakening Bell’s theta wave (read Working with Binaural Beats Part 1 and Working with Binaural Beats Part 2 for more information on theta waves).

The Awakening Bell is easier to use than tuning forks but is not a substitution. I keep it on a table close by and tap it as I am walking by. At least walking by is my intention but every time I tap it, my body stops and listens. Whatever stress I may be feeling is dissipated and I just feel good. The reason it is easier than tuning forks is because with tuning forks, you tap and hold the forks close to your ears. With the Awakening Bell, just tap and listen.

If you have a few minutes, tap the Awakening Bell then tap and place some tuning forks by your ears. I was very surprised when I  tried this. The low extended tone of the theta wave in the background and the tone created by the two tuning forks closer to my ears felt like two distinct sets of harmonics yet working together. I felt my body completely settle. That first time I wound up playing several sets of tuning forks with the Awakening Bell just to experience it.

I use the Fibonacci and Solar Harmonics most often with the Awakening Bell but the combination of the Otto 128 and Ohm/Earth Tuner works great too.

You can also play the Awakening Bell like a singing bowl. Its a little hard to explain how so here is a video to help.
